Away from Russian Gas: Europe Builds New Energy Axis in the Mediterranean
TL;DREurope is establishing a new energy axis in the Mediterranean as Italy diversifies its gas supply away from Russia. Algeria is becoming a primary supplier, and Cypriot gas from the Cronos field is expected to reach Europe as liquefied natural gas via Egypt starting in 2028.
